I've noticed a trend in the "-punk" subgenres, ie: Steampunk, dieselpunk, etc., And I've decided to come up with a few of my own. Use them as you wish. And Please! Tell me if they already exist.

Hobopunk:
Era: 1920's-1930's, Dustbowl/Great Depression-era.
Characteristics: Anti-establishment, wandering and wayfaring, Living off the fat of the land
Look: think O' Brother, Where Art Thou?
Music: Early bluegrass, general "hobo" music.
Reads: "Grapes of Wrath", "The Jungle", etc

Gonzopunk:
Era: Late 1960's-Early 1970's
Characteristics: Heavy drug use, prominent usage of sarcasm, very political
Look: Aviator sunglasses, Hawaiian shirts, cigarettes
Music: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, etc.
Reads: Anything by Hunter S. Thompson

Wonderpunk:
Era: Late Victorian
Characteristics: Imagination
Look: Hatters, cats, caterpillars... etc.
Music: Honestly.. I have no idea.
Basically, this one just popped into mind from looking at some Alice in Wonderland doodles.

Some I'd like to work on:
Romeropunk, Fightpunk..

The list goes on. Fightpunk is roughly anything Palanuihk (Sp?)
